Common questions

Questions about Adult Jiu Jitsu.

Straight answers before you step onto the mat.

01Do I need any experience?

No. We teach the basic moves, positions, and safety rules first. You can start from zero.

02What happens in my first class?

You will meet the coach, warm up, learn one skill, and practice with a partner. Your coach will tell you if live training is right for you that day.

03Do I have to compete?

No. Many people train for fitness, self-defense, stress relief, and fun. Tournaments are always a choice.

04How do I stay safe?

Move with control, tap early, and talk to your partner. Listen to your coach and do not train harder than you can handle.
